2009
Rod Lucas and The Radio School had great success in getting people real radio presenting jobs in 2009 too. After his training at The Radio School former student Brett Whittaker was selected to present the Breakfast Show on the new Wayland FM (Norfolk) 107.3. We're also delighted that student Pete Ashton has joined radio station Calon FM 105FM (Wrexham North Wales). He's now presenting the daily Lunchtime Show. Another success in 2009 was Richard White who is now a freelance presenter for The Local Radio Company (North Yorkshire). All trained by radio presenter coach Rod Lucas at The Radio School.

I attended a radio course with Rod Lucas. After extensive research I felt confident and assured I was receiving the very best training this industry has to offer. I had no previous experience in presenting or producing radio prior to attending the course in January 2009. Being a 37yr old female I thought this was going to be out of my reach to grasp. However with the expert guidance, attention to detail and an exceptional eye for talent, Rod gently but firmly put me through my paces.

From day 1, I was working the desk on my own and over the 3 days we gradually added other elements. In 3 days I was able to “ hold it all together”  live interviews, back time the news, adverts, competitions, handle awkward telephone callers and there you had it. Following her Core 2 course Karen presents among other shows The Breakfast Show at Bolton 96.5 FM.
